Forrester Research recently reported that the adoption of SaaS (Software as a Service) has increased by 33% in the past year. Many companies, like steel distributor Namasco Corp., are choosing SaaS solutions rather than investing in premise-based technology. Why? The reasons Len Stark, director of technical services for Namasco, provided are common ones--it is more affordable to implement than a premise-based solution and doesn't require internal IT staff resources. SaaS solutions don't require the large upfront capital investment many premise-based solutions do. Namasco opted for an on-demand fleet management system.
