Inaugural discussions of the Supply Chain Carbon Coalition Steering Committee will be held in Brussels March 17th, 2009, according to host eyefortransport. Participants in this pioneering discussion include supply chain executives from Asda/Wal-Mart, Nestle, Johnson Controls, Toyota, Vestas, Cognis and more. The Supply Chain Carbon Coalition is a voluntary association of the world's leading manufacturers, retailers, logistics companies, freight forwarders, 3PLs, suppliers, government representatives, academics and other relevant parties. Its purpose is to help companies move forward with green supply chain initiatives with the confidence that there are consistent industry standards that can be communicated to partners, suppliers and customers.
