IKEA, the global home furnishing giant, plans to build its largest logistics and distribution center for the Asia-Pacific region in Fengxian, near Shanghai. The hub will have more than 3 million square feet on almost 100 acres.
IKEA buys 18 percent of its products in China, but plans to increase this to 25 percent with three years, says a report in the Shanghai Daily. IKEA currently operates three stores in China and 24 in the Asia-Pacific region.
