China Shipping Container Lines has selected GT Nexus as its industry portal for e-commerce services. CSCL will fully integrate its back office systems to GT Nexus to enable complete paperless business transactions with major shipper and forwarder customers.
"In the containerized shipping industry, e-commerce has matured to the point where it is now a vital part of a carrier's value-added services," says Huang Xiaowen, general manager and executive director of CSCL.
GT Nexus users can submit bookings and shipping instructions electronically to CSCL, which effectively digitizes the entire shipper-carrier transactional process.
