TNT has expanded coverage by its Economy Express service to include shipments moving between Malta and 75 countries. The expansion comes on the heels of TNT's introduction of an integrated road-ferry service between Malta and other European Union countries. The service is part of TNT's Express Road Network, which reaches more than 40 countries in Europe and Northern Africa, linking up with the rest of the world via the company's global air network. TNT now offers a service alternative for parcels and freight shipments of up to 1,000 kg (palletized) between Malta and points throughout the world. The service includes on-demand booking, delivery on a specified date within two to five working days, door-to-door transport, customs clearance and track and trace. According to TNT, the expansion will especially benefit Asian exporters that serve the Maltese industry, as well as Maltese importers of electronic, eco-friendly and household goods.
