Sato America, a vendor of technology for automatic identification and data collection, has launched an onsite printer service program, Sato Ensure. It provides Sato-trained technicians directly to customers throughout the U.S. and around the Canadian cities of Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver. Sato is offering Next Business Day (within 24 hours) and Standard Service (within 24 to 48 hours) options, both for new and existing printers. The program ensures that only Sato-trained and certified technicians are dispatched, using only genuine Sato parts. The onsite service plans include unlimited repairs, travel time and all parts and labor except for print heads. To minimize unexpected equipment downtime, the plans include two free preventive maintenance checkups per unit, per year, scheduled at the customer's convenience. Sato's products include barcode printing and labeling systems, with units that utilize radio frequency identification technology and Electronic Product Code standards.
