Robocom Systems International has released a version of its RIMS Warehouse Management System for industrial products and supplies. The new application offers the ability to track lot information and country of origin for all components within the supply chain. Carton identification-based picking ensures precise tracking of products, the vendor said. The tool also includes repacking and pre-packing capability, to comply with customer-specific package and labeling requirements; extended quality-assurance tracking tables; multi-level inspection capability, which ensures adherence to client-specific guidelines; built-in interfaces to a variety of external material-handling systems, including carousels, intelligent conveyors and pick-to-light; and connectors to Robocom's voice-picking and labor-management tools.
