Amber Road has completed a Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) Type II Audit, established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The audit, performed by an independent firm, focused on the vendor's operating infrastructure for its global trade management (GTM) applications. The SAS examination looks at a service organization's internal control activities that relate to an audit of the financial statements of its customers. It includes tests of operating effectiveness of the organization's controls. For Amber Road, the exam included the company's control objectives related to customer setup and ongoing maintenance, change management, secure communications and data interfaces, information security, operations monitoring and management, logical and physical access, and data backup and restore. Amber Roads' GTM apps are delivered under a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model from its data centers.
