TAKE Supply Chain (formerly ClearOrbit), Austin, Texas, has acquired the product division of privately-held EntComm, Gardena, Calif. In April, the two companies partnered to combine TAKE's supplier collaboration capabilities with EntComm's software as a service (SaaS) commerce platform. The acquisition solidifies TAKE's portfolio expansion of SaaS-based applications and provides immediate access to EntComm's business process automation solutions. Initial plans will focus on delivering a world-class enterprise collaboration solution, says John Reece, president of TAKE Supply Chain.
