A new trade promotion optimization solution is being developed by River Logic Inc. and the Synectics Group. River Logic, Dallas, is a provider of integrated business planning and modeling software while the Synectics Group, Allentown, Pa., provides promotion trade management solutions.
Together the companies will deliver a closed loop Trade Promotion Optimization (TPO) application that will help enterprises optimize, plan, execute and evaluate promotions to significantly increase the return on trade spending. According to a joint announcement, the new solution will enable CPG manufacturers to focus on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of trade dollars to drive greater return from their trade marketing plans. In addition, users can compare events that maximize net income or profit to trade promotion events that maximize sales volume. The ability to use differential analysis will help managers make balanced decisions that will meet corporate objectives.
