NFI, a provider of supply chain services, has acquired Network Logistics Solutions, a logistics and contract warehousing management company with operations in Jacksonville, Fla.; Savannah, Ga.; and Muskogee, Okla. Network Logistics Solutions will become part of NFI Distribution, the warehouse and distribution division of its new parent. The deal adds 516 employees and 3 million square feet of warehouse space to NFI's resources, which now total 18 million square feet. In addition, it strengthens the company's presence in the key port cities of Jacksonville and Savannah as well as in Oklahoma, the company said. With headquarters in Vineland, N.J., NFI offers logistics, distribution, transportation, intermodal and real estate services across the U.S. It owns nearly 60 trucking and maintenance facilities nationwide, with a fleet of more than 100,000 tractors and trailers.
