TNT is adding a dedicated Boeing 747-400ER freighter to its express service between China and Europe. Non-stop flights will operate between Hong Kong and TNT's European air hub in Belgium. The service offers seamless connectivity with the company's European air and road network, TNT said. The new B747 freighter is a reflection of TNT's strategy to boost investments in Asia. In addition to its role as a hub for shippers in southern China, Hong Kong also links up with destinations in neighboring countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines and Taiwan. Other TNT international hubs in Asia are located in Shanghai, Beijing and Singapore. In February 2007, TNT introduced direct flights from Shanghai to Liege, with its first B747-400ERF. The aircraft stops over in Singapore on its return to China.
