Evergreen Line and China Shipping are cooperating on a new joint weekly service linking ports in Asia with locations in the U.S. Northwest and southwestern Canada. The purpose of the new service is to use mutual slots more efficiently, and share resources to provide more convenient and economical trans-Pacific routing, the two lines said. The service will call ports in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, the U.S. and Canada. The rotation is Ningbo, Shanghai, Kaohsiung, Nansha, Hong Kong, Yantian, Pusan, Tacoma, Seattle, Vancouver (B.C), Tokyo, Osaka and back to Ningbo. The PNW service is operating with six ships of 5,500 twenty-foot equivalent units, with each carrier contributing three vessels.
