NetSuite, a purveyor of hosted ("cloud computing") business software, has joined with InsideView, a vendor of customer relationship management (CRM) applications, to offer a social intelligence tool for use with CRM and enterprise resource planning (ERP) processes. InsideView for Netsuite allows NetSuite users instantly to access intelligence harvested from emerging social media, such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook., Jigsaw and NetProspex. The process can be executed directly within NetSuite, improving efficiencies in sales, marketing, billing, procurement and human-resources operations, according to the partners. InsideView for NetSuite was built on NetSuite's SuiteCloud development platform. It expands the two companies' partnership beyond sales intelligence to include front-office sales and marketing, and back-office financial operations. Users can proactively monitor the financial health of customers and partners, to assess payment risk and improve the collections process. They can draw on social media "buzz" to gauge a supplier's brand reputation, level of customer satisfaction and supply-chain risk. And they can integrate social profile information to engage job candidates across multiple channels. Back-office operations supported by the new tool include billing and collections, procurement and recruiting. InsideView is a member of NetSuite's SuiteCloud Developer Network, a program that allows independent software vendors to build on NetSuite's platform and the capabilities of its core business suite.
