Menlo Worldwide Logistics has taken on warehousing and inventory-management duties for a new customer at its multi-client facility in Mexico City. Menlo is now managing more than 200 SKUs of writing products for a customer of Crane Worldwide Logistics, the Houston-based freight forwarder. The operation is taking up some 8,000 square feet of Menlo's 45,000-square-foot warehouse in Mexico City. Inventory-management services being provided there include the receipt of inbound materials imported into Mexico, deconsolidation and storage, pick and pack, and preparation for shipment to retailers in Mexico. Robert L. Bianco Jr., president of Menlo Worldwide Logistics, said the Mexico City operation has grown more than threefold. The company's offerings in Mexico include transportation management, truckload brokerage and intermodal.
