TNT Logistics Central & Eastern Europe has a five-year contract to manage the central spare parts warehouse in Hamburg-Fuhlsbuttel, Germany, for aircraft manufacturer Airbus. From the 18,000-square-meter facility spare parts are dispatched around the world.
In compliance with the quality standards of the aerospace industry, TNT Logistics will obtain DIN EN 9100 certification, which the provider says will make it one of the few logistics operators with such a certificate. "In recent years, we have secured a leading position in after-sales logistics and have now also produced a convincing customized solution for Airbus," says Jens Müller, managing director of business development at TNT Logistics CEE.
