RedPrairie has finalized its acquisition of MARC Global Holdings, and says that the combined companies, operating under the name RedPrairie Corporation, will unify and support all products and services from both organizations.
"This alliance unites two forward-thinking companies that have led the supply chain industry by focusing on customer results," says John Jazwiec, RedPrairie company leader. "Both companies offer similar technology with sophisticated integration capabilities and leverage the same technology platforms, allowing us to provide customers an enhanced, broader suite of solutions and seamless technology upgrades."
According to RedPrairie press material, Steve Banker, service director of supply chain management at ARC Advisory Group, had this to say about the acquisition: "RedPrairie will leverage the MARC customer base to more deeply penetrate verticals such as pharma and apparel. MARC Global customers gain a financially secure parent. The combined company benefits by being able to offer its customer base additional products and the ability to better leverage R&D investments."
RedPrairie says that its Extended Supply Chain Execution suite, or eSCE, is what differentiates it in the industry. The product is designed to provide end-to-end resource optimization, from the start of the manufacturing process, through the entire distribution chain, including the presentation to the consumer.
