Echo Global Logistics Inc. has opened a new office in Dallas. Echo is a provider of transportation and supply-chain management services. The new office is in keeping with management's strategy to penetrate untapped markets and boost market share in the U.S., the company said. The Dallas office will perform sales functions similar to those of the Chicago headquarters and other regional offices in Detroit, Mich. and Atlanta, Ga. It will focus on strengthening existing relations as well as expanding services in the southern region, where Echo currently has no physical location. Heading up the Dallas office is Mike Bryan, who has been with Echo since October, 2008. The office initially will be staffed with 10 to 12 sales representatives; the company foresees an employment level of 30 to 40 within 12 months.
