Associated Global Systems (AGS), a provider of transportation and logistics services, has expanded its Import Advantage offering to include nationwide customs brokerage. AGS aids importers in getting products from overseas suppliers directly to factories or customers' doors anywhere in the U.S. According to the company, the import service quotes competitive rates from more than 205 countries, for shipments by land, sea and air. AGS representatives visit the importer's suppliers overseas, to ensure that packing and other requirements are in order. The company can provide door-to-door service with overseas affiliates at the point of origin. AGS Customs Brokerage will work closely with the vendor's existing International Trade Services to include consulting, auditing, compliance training, Importer Security Filing and assistance with the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and related certifications. Surety bonds and other insurance services will also be available, AGS said.
