AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) has extended its delivery network in Russia, with the launch of a weekly flight from Amsterdam, the Netherlands to Yekaterinburg, and direct service from Frankfurt, Germany to Moscow's Domodedovo Airport. The new routes are a continuation of ABC's network expansion in Russia. Yekaterinburg has become an important transport and logistics center on the Trans-Siberian route, the carrier said. The city lies at the center of routes linking Central Russia with Siberia. The new route also allows ABC to serve such Russian destinations as Tyumen, Nizhnevartovsk, Surgut, Nefteyugansk and Chelyabinsk (South of Ural) through road feeder services. From Yekaterinburg, ABC's customers can deliver cargo to Hong Kong and other Asian destinations. ABC is initially serving the Russian city with a weekly B747F scheduled charter flight from Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport. The Domodedovo freighter service involves a weekly B747F flight, departing every Sunday. ABC operates 28 flights a week from Europe to Russia.
