Transportation Dispute Resolution LCC is the name of a new firm providing mediation and arbitration to the transportation industry. Based in Fort Worth, the company also has offices in three other states. Its panel of mediators and arbitrators consists of retired transportation attorneys with expertise in all modes, including rail, motor, ocean and air, and involving shippers, carriers and intermediaries. "All of the federal regulatory agencies dealing with transportation have encouraged the use of mediation and arbitration in resolving transportation disputes," said Michael Roper, a member of the firm and former attorney with BNSF Railway Co. "We hope to be able to fulfill that need." Other members include Ann Pougiales, a former private practitioner in transportation law; William McCurdy, former judge and counsel to Sentinel Transportation LLC and E.I. Dupont de Nemours and Co.; and Nicholas McMichael, former general counsel of the National Industrial Transportation League.
