Ryder System Inc. has held the grand opening of a new service facility and used commercial vehicle sales center in Atlanta, Ga. Situated on 18 acres and covering 24,000 square feet, the facility is providing maintenance to a varied fleet of commercial vehicles, including light- and heavy-duty straight trucks, tractors and trailers from Ryder's contractual and rental customers in the area. The site features six and a half service bays, a three-lane fuel island, fully automated truck-wash bay and the capability to support EPA 2010 engines with maintenance and diesel exhaust fluid. It will provide maintenance to Ryder's lease, rental and contract maintenance customers, along with commercial truck-rental services. Adjacent to the new service shop, Ryder has opened a used-vehicle sales center, with an inventory of more than 250 commercial trucks and vehicles. Ryder's Full Service Lease offering provides customers with commercial vehicles and a wide range of support services, including emergency roadside assistance, preventive maintenance, fueling, equipment evaluation and specification, fleet-management reporting tools, administrative support and driver safety programs.
