Caterpillar Inc. says it will distribute its machine work tools and related attachments from a logistics center it plans in Waco, Texas. Caterpillar Logistics Services Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Caterpillar, will establish and operate the centralized distribution facility to serve multiple Caterpillar divisions. Tonnage originating in the United States, Mexico, Europe and Japan will be distributed to prime product locations and directly to customers, resulting in faster deliveries.
"This focus facility further demonstrates Caterpillar's commitment to the work tool business," said Gary Larimore, Cat Logistics work tool logistics manager. "It enhances our dealers' efforts to deliver machine tools to customers when they need them, and where they need them."
