The adoption of smart phones is accelerating in the U.S. and prompting some analysts to rethink their earlier projections about the growth of the mobile Web. Nielsen recently reported that in Q2 2010 a quarter of mobile customers used a smart phone device, up from 23% just three months earlier and up from 16% for the same period a year ago.
