FlightView, a provider of flight-tracking services, is now offering FlightView Reports, with information on daily flight traffic in North America. The reports contain data on aircraft speeds, headings, altitudes, flight paths, takeoffs and landing. The information is contained in a format that allows for easy integration with internal systems, the vendor said. FlightView's reports are used by airports, to guarantee fee collections with confirmed landing and weight data; aerospace and defense manufacturers, to define usage and maintenance guidelines for optimizing engine performance; airline and A&D suppliers, to streamline maintenance, repair and operations planning; and consultants, to recommend airport expansion and new construction. FlightView sells smart-phone applications for BlackBerry, Palm, the iPhone and Android.
