SAP AG has launched a series of analytic applications under its BusinessObjects suite of software. Created with customer input and designed to work in any environment, the tools are intended to provide users with critical, industry-specific information, the vendor said. They can be customized to meet particular business goals with the help of the SAP Services organization or partner network. The 10 new applications can be deployed in as little as eight weeks, and are designed to work with structured or unstructured data from any SAP or non-SAP system. Initial industries covered by the applications include healthcare, consumer products, public sector, financial services, retail and telecommunications. They address issues faced by professionals in finance, sales, marketing risk assessment, patient care management, customer satisfaction and retention, and military planning. The SAP BusinessObjects applications include On-Shelf Availability Analysis, Trade Promotion Effectiveness, Enterprise Risk Reporting for Banking, Planning and Consolidation for Healthcare, Sales Analysis for Retail, Customer Analysis and Retention for Telecommunications, Readiness Assessment for Defense & Security, and Planning and Consolidation for Public Sector.
