This survey attempts to identify two critical trend areas in the realm of on-demand solutions, namely cloud computing and managed services. There is a convergence of approaches between traditional enterprise solution providers that are migrating their products to the cloud and the best of breed SaaS vendors. The viewpoint of the supply chain executives toward these, as well as in the area of managed services, will be explored in this survey.
