JDA Adaptor, an application from JDA Software Group Inc. that allows for the sharing of store, product and inventory data by retailers, is now available as part of Google's "local availability" feature. The tool provides full product information to help shoppers find desired products on Google.com and Google Product Search, the company's shopping search engine. In the process, retailers can make local store and inventory information available to customers online. Developed in collaboration with Google, JDA Adaptor is designed to work with JDA Merchandise Management System, a host transaction offering which helps retailers get the right products to the right place at the right time. Shoppers can more easily find and purchase local products, while traditional retailers can compete more effectively with online-only merchants, JDA said. The company offers a wide range of software in support of supply-chain management, merchandising and pricing.
