American Airlines Cargo Division (AA Cargo) is adding capacity between the U.S. and Brazil. The carrier is operating a daily nonstop Boeing 767 cargo service between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and Rio de Janeiro. It is also launching a three-days-a-week seasonal nonstop Boeing 767 service between Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), TX and Rio de Janeiro, beginning Dec. 16. AA Cargo said it was providing customers with more options to tap into the opportunities presented by future events such as Brazil's hosting of the 2014 World Cup, and the 2016 Olympic Games. AA Cargo's Miami hub has long served as the airline's largest U.S. gateway to Brazil and the rest of South America. It offers multiple flights to and from Brazil through the Miami hub, including Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Recife and Salvador.
