Zenith Global Logistics has opened a home delivery hub in Dallas. The facility is the company's fifth domestic U.S. expansion since late 2009. According to Zenith president and chief executive officer Jack Hawn, the move will allow furniture retailers to draw on inventory that is closer to the customer. Zenith opened a home delivery and split container facility in San Antonio, Tex., in November of 2010, and another home delivery site in Atlanta the previous June. Other recently opened locations are in Tupelo, Miss. and Claremont, N.C. The company plans future network expansions in Seattle, Chicago, Orlando, Fla., Elizabethtown, N.J. and Raleigh, N.C. Zenith's services in the home furnishing business include sourcing, warehousing, transportation and home delivery. The company operates more than 4.5 million square feet of warehouse space domestically.
