FedEx Freight Corp. has enhanced its service offerings in the less-than-truckload (LTL) sector. The company is now offering customers a choice between two levels of service. FedEx Freight Priority was designed for fast, time-sensitive LTL delivery. FedEx Freight Economy is an economical option for less time-sensitive shipments. Both LTL services are available through one pickup and delivery network, FedEx said. Features include one truck for pickup and delivery, one FedEx sales representative, one phone call to request either service, one invoice statement, simplified FedEx Freight account numbers, and streamlined Web applications which allow for rapid selection of either service. A subsidiary of FedEx Corp., FedEx Freight includes operations in Canada as well as FedEx Custom Critical, a time-specific carrier of critical shipments.
