As it continues infrastructure upgrades, Miami International Airport (MIA) has announced further growth in its freighter service with the addition of two weekly roundtrip flights on a triangular route between MIA, Mexico City and Mérida via AeroUnion.
GE Aviation and Lufthansa Technik AG have chosen a site in southwestern Poland for their joint-venture maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) center, to service GEnx-2B and GE9X engines. The reported $267m development, to be in operation by September 2018, will be known as XEOS, and will employ 500 at full capability.

Shipping and logistics provider DHL Express says it's continuing an investment plan for the United States and the Americas of $185m. The investment earmarked for 2016 and 2017 is focused on infrastructure, technology and people - creating some 900 new jobs in 2016.
Cathay Pacific and subsidiary carrier Dragonair carried a total of 172,385 tonnes of cargo and mail in October, an increase of 5.3 percent over October 2015. The carrier's load factor rose by 1.6 percentage points to 68.1 percent.
