Oracle Corp. has introduced PeopleSoft Mobile Inventory Management, an application for the automation of mobile inventory transactions. Offered within the company's PeopleSoft Enterprise Supply Chain Management suite, the new product is aimed at users of Microsoft Windows-enabled mobile devices and handheld scanners. Users can enter and access information on inventory availability, process receipts and issues, and conduct physical inventory counts without having to change stations or work locations. The user interface can be tailored to each user and specific task. The application is directly integrated with PeopleSoft Enterprise Inventory and Fulfillment Management. PeopleSoft Mobile Inventory Management was developed following consultation with Oracle's leading healthcare provider customers, as well as through collaboration with members of the healthcare, distribution and manufacturers user groups. In another company announcement, Oracle has released version 3.1 of its Application Integration Architecture. The update contains the first releases of AIA pre-built integrations based on and certified for Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g. Version 3.1 includes nine cross-industry process integration packs, eight vertical PIPS and two direct integrations certified for Oracle Fusion Middleware.
