Epicor Software Corp. has created Epicor University, a new center of education for the company's customers, partners and employees. According to Epicor, the forum is intended to address the challenge of delivering high-quality training worldwide, while offering certification programs for the company's growing partner channel. Epicor University will consist of a dedicated central team responsible for developing content, materials and blended training around the world. The primary objective, Epicor said, is to help customers realize the maximum benefits from their investments in business software. Epicor's existing education resources include embedded courses within the vendor's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, user guides, classroom courses and certifications, and an online help system which includes field assistance and technical reference guides. The company currently offers more than 100 courses imbedded within its Epicor 9 ERP suite, in addition to more than 100 virtual or classroom courses and 2,500 pages of content and graphics in Epicor technical guides.
