DAP Technologies has introduced the M9000, a rugged mobile tablet with new communications options, including wireless USB and integrated ZigBee wireless technology. The compact computer also features the new Intel E660T industrial processor and Qualcomm's latest Gobi 3000 module, in addition to such standard communications options as WLAN, Bluetooth and WWAN. Other upgrades include a seven-inch, sunlight-viewable touchscreen display which is 50-percent brighter than before, and automatically switches from landscape to portrait views, depending on how the unit is held. According to DAP, the new Intel processor improves graphic performance by 50 percent and PCIe speeds by 15 percent, while consuming 15 percent less power.
