Odyssey Software Inc., a vendor of systems for mobile device management, has made available version 5.0 of its Athena for Configuration Manager. The product provides remote management for Apple iOS and Android platforms, in addition to other mobile devices already supported. Athena extends the native mobile device-management functions of the Microsoft System Center Configuration manager platform. Its architectural design uses the existing Configuration Manager console, which serves as a "single pane of glass," to provide management and security in diverse deployments, Odyssey said. All mobile and business asset information is contained in the native Configuration Manager database.
