LeSaint Logistics, a third-party logistics provider based near Chicago, has made a number of enhancements to its transportation management system (TMS), known as TransTech. The new features include transportation network design for optimizing routes, shipping execution and compliance, carrier relationship and event management, and track and trace. The Web-enabled technology helps companies to control transportation spending while achieving visibility of their shipping activities, the vendor claimed. LeSaint offers additional functionality with its WareTech Inventory Management system, providing real-time, round-the-clock reporting via the Web. The tool is supported by customized reporting and e-mail alerts. LeSaint's 3PL services including warehousing, fulfillment and transportation. The company has 14 facilities nationwide, focusing on the retail sector.
