JSY Software, a vendor of software for local trucking operations, has made available version 2.0 of its OneTerminal TMS (Transportation Management System). The application is designed for managing the operations of trucking companies that operate from a single location. The tool can also be applied to cartage, pick and delivery companies and private fleets. It covers rating, pricing, routing, manifesting, real-time vehicle status, accounts receivable and invoicing. Also included is a protected online portal for round-the-clock customer access. Operations within OneTerminal TMS include document-scanning capability, GPS and geofencing for real-time shipment-status updates, real-time hazardous materials status, route optimization and interfacing for electronic data interchange. The application can instantly rate cartage shipments, with rates calculated by hundredweight, pallets, cubes, units of volume, miles and truckloads, among other options. A cartage firm can set up a rate for a specific recurring shipment between two points. The rate becomes instantly visible to anyone entering an order or quote, JSY said. The vendor develops its TMS software on the Microsoft .NET platform.
