Lufthansa Cargo AG is expanding its route network in Asia with the addition of flights to Bangladesh. The airline has begun linking Frankfurt, Germany with weekly flights to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Departing on Wednesdays, with a stopover in Mumbai outbound and in Delhi on the return, the flights will be operated by a Lufthansa Cargo MD-11 freighter. They will shorten the transit time for customers while linking up with Lufthansa Cargo's global network, according to Carsten Heming, the airline's regional director for South Asia and the Middle East.
