HCL Technologies has signed a global alliance agreement with the JDA Software Group Inc. The company is part of HCL, a global technology and IT provider which also includes HCL Infosystems. The deal with JDA extends HCL's offerings in professional services for such industries as retail, manufacturing, consumer packaged goods and life sciences for the Americas and Europe. According to the partners, the alliance addresses a number of supply-chain challenges in areas such as planning, procurement, production, distribution, warehousing, inventory, transportation and customer services. Beginning with its experience implementing JDA software in India and the Asia-Pacific region, HCL has expanded its focus to include markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and the Americas as a global JDA partner. HCL now provides end-to-end services across JDA's complete portfolio of retail and supply-chain applications, covering such tasks as demand forecasting, replenishment, inventory management and supply-chain optimization.
