Insight Inc., a provider of supply-chain planning applications, has introduced the Insight Scorekeeper Analytics Suite. The new set of analytical tools incorporate upgrades of existing Insight products, along with technology never before available in the supply-chain technology market, the company claimed. Insight Supply Chain Optimizer is an enhanced version of the vendor's supply-chain design product, known as SAILS. Enterprise Optimizer is a sales and operations planning tool, allowing users to synchronize supply and demand based on a wide range of factors. Transportation Optimizer is a new product which draws on advanced analytics. The day-by-day simulation tool relies on a module that generates a mathematically optimal dispatch plan. Bid Optimizer is a transportation bid package which can help users to determine the best mix of modes by lane, then use that conclusion as the basis for inviting bids that are subsequently optimized by the tool.
