Geodis Wilson has launched a business unit dedicated to serving the logistics needs of luxury hotels and resorts, as well as their suppliers. The company said it will provide dedicated, integrated logistics services to the marketplace. The new Luxury Hotel & Resort Logistics unit consists of dedicated teams and project managers, regional competency centers and a global hotel logistics "control tower." Together they provide a variety of international and domestic freight services, including freight consolidation, insurance, customs brokerage, warehouse services, customized freight control management and dedicated consulting. Geodis Wilson has 6,400 employees in more than 50 countries, managing cargo by sea, air, road and train. Other specialty areas include automotive, pharmaceutical, aviation, marine logistics, retail and fast-moving consumer goods, oil and gas, and high-tech.
