Pitney Bowes Inc. has turned its international mail services facility in Itasca, Ill. into a publications "center of excellence" for customers shipping magazines, trade journals, bulk newsstand shipments and books to 215 countries. Pitney Bowes, a provider of software, hardware and services, ships thousands of publication titles around the world each year on behalf of numerous publishers in the U.S. It also offers a Web portal which allows customers to track international postage costs, view current and historical invoices and generate reports by selecting data and search criteria. Other services include high-speed inkjet addressing, poly-bagging, machine inserting, tabbing, pressure-sensitive labeling, online inventory management, data processing and bulk mailing.
