LeanLogistics, a provider of software and services for transportation management, has created a new fleet routing and optimization application. LeanFleet supports the asset-based management of dedicated and private fleets. It examines the exponential volume of execution variables in order to determine the best move option for assets. Delivered in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, LeanFleet provides visibility into street-level routing, as well as automatic consolidation capability. Shippers can manage all aspects of their transportation programs in one SaaS environment, the vendor said. The tool optimizes the daily planning and execution of assets by addressing contract and fleet constraints, allowing for visibility into fleet costs, improved productivity of assets and a reduced carbon footprint, according to LeanLogistics. The company offers managed transportation, network optimization and carrier procurement services.
