Glacier Computer has made available several new rugged tablets as part of the vendor's line of vehicle- and fixed-mount terminals, handhelds and wearable rugged computers. Available in seven-, eight- and 10-inch displays, the new tablets offer standard configurations loaded with wireless 802.11 b/g/n/, barcode imaging, camera, radio-frequency identification, and sunlight-readable and resistive touchscreens. Windows XP or 7 Pro are standard, in addition to the Intel Atom processor. The units feature "grip-and-go" handles, resistance to vibration and shock, and both desktop and vehicle cradles. Glacier's key markets include warehousing, field service, medical and government.
