Old Dominion Freight Line has announced plans to expand its regional hub facility in Indianapolis, Ind. The company said it will invest nearly $22m to upgrade the operation, and will hire 183 new employees by 2014. As part of the expansion, Old Dominion will be increasing the Indianapolis Service Center by more than 84,000 square feet, expanding the number of doors from 223 to 325. Old Dominion is a less-than-truckload motor carrier which provides warehousing and distribution services for companies worldwide. It operates 213 service centers nationwide and maintains several regional hubs. Old Dominion's four product groups include OD-Domestic, OD-Expedited, OD-Global and OD-Technology. In addition to LTL, it offers assembly and distribution services and both less-than-containerload and full containerload delivery to and from all of North America, Central America, South America and the Far East.
