The Epicor Retail Store Point-of-Sale (POS) application of Epicor Software Corp. is now fully enabled for use on mobile devices, including the Apple iPad and iPhone, and Windows-based units. The vendor's new Retail Mobile Store module features a touchscreen user interface with extensive customization capabilities. It is fully supported under Epicor's App Builder, which allows customers to customize the device's look and feel, and meet retailers' unique business requirements. The module includes shared-printer functionality, allowing it to be mapped to print to any fixed printer in the area. Epicor has also developed a new mobile credit card application, designed to reduce the PCI footprint and help retailers to comply with current regulations in that area. The Retail Mobile Store is backwards-compatible, integrating with all Retail Store 6 versions. Recently combined with Activant Solutions Inc., Epicor serves the manufacturing, distribution, retail and services industries.
