SPS Commerce has created a new version of its SPS Adapter for use with Retail Pro, a cloud-based application which allows e-commerce and traditional retailers to electronically share point-of-sale data with vendors. The tool automates the three-way invoice-matching process while updating inventory information from within the Retail Pro system. The new adapter integrates Retail Pro systems with SPSCommerce.net, allowing retailers to automate their communications with multiple vendors. Through the cloud, Retail Pro users can more easily connect with vendors to share critical sales and inventory information, streamline inventory management and provide more accurate item and shipment data to e-commerce consumers, SPS said. The company's supply-chain services and enhanced Retail Pro adapter are directly supported by SPS's customer-service department. Other features of the new electronic data interchange adapter for Retail Pro include an event-driven workflow broker, real-time document route, sophisticated business rules and a centralized document repository.
