The CMA CGM Group has upgraded its ASEA container service connecting Asia, Kenya and Tanzania. The new weekly service is deploying six ships of 2,500 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs). Four of the vessels are being provided by CMA CGM Group and two by Emirates Shipping Line. With deployment of the larger vessels, the service now provides direct weekly calls to Kenya and Tanzania gateways, fast transit times from Asia to Mombasa and Dar Es Salaam, a connection via the Port Kelang hub to CMA CGM's global network of mainliners and feeders, and enhanced capacity for refrigerated containers. The service rotation is Port Kelang, Singapore, Port Victoria or Male, Mombasa, Tanga, Dar Es Salaam, Colombo and back to Port Kelang.
