Inttra, provider of a platform for facilitating electronic commerce in the ocean freight industry, has formed an alliance with the global customer network of Kewill plc. The arrangement provides Kewill's network with connectivity to Inttra's multi-carrier offering. Kewill customers will now have access to more than 30 leading ocean carriers and non-vessel operating common carriers via a single connection. Customers do not need to know the unique attributes of each carrier's system in order to process their ocean shipments. Inttra's network of alliance partners currently numbers more than 60 vendors of supply-chain software worldwide. Kewill's software speeds up customs and forwarding, transportation and logistics, and e-commerce and business-to-business integration. Inttra helps to streamline shipping processes through a network comprising more than 25,000 corporate locations. More than 450,000 containers orders are initiated on the Inttra platform each week, according to the company.
